Our Rural Privates Estates team, based in the heart of Norwich, are looking for an experienced and passionate professional to join our high performing team at a senior level.

Acting on behalf of a range of rural property owners and businesses across East Anglia, including some prestigious landed estates, you will be focussed on generating and completing professional instructions including regulated valuations; strategic planning and rural development and diversification projects.

As part of a multi-disciplinary office, the Norwich Rural team benefits from a close working relationship with colleagues possessing a diverse range of skills and knowledge. We also work closely with our wider Rural business, whose expertise and resources we are able to draw upon, whilst retaining a level of diversity and independence in our work that makes each day different.

In addition to traditional rural estate work, the Norwich rural team:

- Represent landowners across East Anglia affected by complex infrastructure projects, including cable routes for off-shore wind farms;
- Are trusted to act for landowners dealing with solar farm developers;
- Have a wealth of experience with rural development projects of all types and sizes;
- Are engaged by clients who trust us to help them navigate the changing world for agriculture and to assist them in finding and exploiting the emerging opportunities for the sector.

Key Responsibilities*
- Undertake RICS Red Book valuations for all purposes including secured lending and accounts purposes
- Advising on the diversification opportunities for rural property owners, providing creative advice on how to exploit said opportunities
- Carry out professional instructions for a range of clients including financial institutions; private and corporate owners; and rural businesses, with various property holdings including estates; let and in hand farms; dwellings; commercial premises; forestry and sporting
- Assisting the Agency Team in the disposal and acquisition of rural property for new and retained clients
- Taking responsibility for a relatively small number of ongoing tasks, primarily related to landlord and tenant matters
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of management and professional instructions
- Target new prospects for new business
- Be an active member of the Private Estates team, taking responsibility for the efficient delivery of key areas of the service across the Division, carrying out research where necessary and communicating the outcomes

Essential requirements*
- RICS registered
- Understand and have experience of all valuation methodologies covering a wide variety of property assets
- A strong working knowledge of the rural marketplace and competition
- Ability to find creative solutions and opportunities for our clients
- Extensive post qualification experience
- A passion for the sector and a commitment to excellent client service

- Strong bank valuation experience
- Experience in CPO work
- CAAV qualification
