Position: Manager Of, Senior HR Business Partner Group Operations
Job Summary
The TJX Europe Leadership Team is focused on our future and recognises that we can only grow by investing in our people. This role is a vital element in those plans, whereby a small number of HR Business Partners will be the major drivers and catalysts of this cultural and organisational change. This is a true Business Partnering role where you will deliver HR Strategy and Objectives through coaching, supporting and challenging your passionate Function team. You will play a huge part in driving the success of the Function you are supporting, as part of TJX Global ever growing and evolving business.

Act as the Senior HR Business Partner for Group Operations (Legal, Risk, Property, WPS and GS&P).
Represent Europe within the Global GS&P function and provide expert HR advice and support globally across at all levels, whilst delivering HR strategy and objectives through coaching, supporting and challenging the business.
Provide HR Business Partner support for Senior Leaders (SVP/VP/AVP) and Associates in both, EU and Global, partnering with Centres of Expertise for local employment law knowledge, to advise on employee relations issues, and support with HR and business communications and the implementation of policies and processes.
Act as the main HR contact for Group Operation Associates, providing expert HR advice and consultation on all HR issues that arise, providing necessary solutions to meet the needs of the department in line with the Department’s strategy.
Work with high levels of complexity providing HR support within Group Operations across the UK, EU and globally, communicating with stakeholders at all levels within the business on a wide range of complex matters and strategic initiatives.
Act as an enabler for strategies by understanding the impact of the strategies and advise during the early stages of a project on stakeholder management within the Senior Leadership Team.
Champion our TJX Culture and raise awareness of specific, cultural aspects whilst.
Key Responsibilities
Coach, advice and consult with departmental and functional Heads, and HR Centres of Expertise, to future plan activities, and creates strategies to meet required need of a department or the function.
Identify, create and drive the people agenda, ensuring HR plans are aligned with business culture throughout IT.
Proactively identify talent issues before they affect the business, and support with the design of the functions strategy in order to resolve issues.
Develop and lead teams to deliver business development and change.
Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers/associates on HR matters. Working with managers within a wide range of fields including dealing with complex employee relations casework, performance management, engagement, legal compliance, policies and procedures, absence management, wellness, consultation, diversity, communications, environment and working conditions, duty of care and health and safety.
Use in-depth knowledge of TJX business and strategy, ways of working and policies to provide HR advice as needed.
Interpret policies, procedures and initiative in order to share details within the function in the right way, and to ensure that advice and solutions are provided to fit the needs of the department and/or function.
Leadership
Acts as an advisor and/or mentor to junior colleagues within HR.
Coach and support HRBPs in carrying out their role, acting as a sounding board, as well as providing options, solutions and learning to issues or concerns.
Support with the upskilling and development of managers within a department or function as needed.
Share strategy and current topics with HR Business Partner group to create best practice and leverage organisational gain, providing opportunities for development and leaning within the team.
Work with Talent Development to support the functions with induction, technical training, management development, coaching, talent planning, succession, career paths, high potential, and leadership development.
Develop leaders of the future through effective coaching, including supporting them in developing people management skills and challenging as needed.
Role model leadership and new ways of working.
Talent Management
Partner with the functional senior management team to manage the annual talent cycle and development of talent actions, helping and inputting to the strategic direction for the function.
Monitor headcount planning and pipeline, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Finance to support succession planning.
Partner with business leaders and line managers to deliver the people agenda and keep it high on their priorities.
In response to the business strategy, identify, influence, develop and drive the people agenda, ensuring that it contributes to its overall success, adjusting to meet changing needs.
HR Department Responsibilities
Manage complex ER cases across the business as needed to support the wider HR Business Partner team, providing advice and support to managers as needed to ensure the correct policies/procedures are followed.
Act as a lead as required for projects within HR or a department/function to support TJX goals and priorities, providing direction and a focus for the project team to support its success.
Support with the delivery and implementation of the HR strategy.
Work within the 4-box model, acting as a bridge and managing the relationship and requirements between IT and the HR Centres of Expertise.
Identify with Centres of Expertise critical HR metrics required to measure business success.
Constructively challenge stakeholders across the function and the HR community.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
CIPD qualified or equivalent HR knowledge and experience at (Senior) HRBP Level.
In-depth HR knowledge and experience of advising on complex HR issues.
Ability to quickly build a strong network of relationships, with the ability to gain the confidence of the business.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business (up to SVP), assessing situations and tailoring approach and style to different personalities and needs.
Proven change leadership experience, creating meaning for others, and being comfortable in proposing innovative and transformative approaches to problem solving.
Ability to navigate through the corporation to accomplish goals, building relationships, influencing and collaborating at all levels including senior management.
Strong knowledge of TJX Europe business and strategies, and systems required.
Proven ability of successfully supporting and developing talent including excellent coaching and development skills.
Able to juggle a number of constantly changing priorities and multi-task in a high volume and fast paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing and diverse environment.
Independent, able to work effectively without close supervision.
Ability to lead teams across different countries and/or functions.
Influencing skills with the ability to recognise tensions and competing interests and build a consensus among a mixed group of stakeholders.
Ability to represent the company and HR function in a professional manner with strong commercial acumen.
Strong project management skills, alongside high levels attention to detail.
