Read on, we’re looking for an Import Operator to manage freight for a new customer be based at our site in Heathrow, on permanant basis.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re offering a Salary up to £35,000 in addition, we offer a generous holiday entitlement as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Import bookings with international/national agents; sea freight carriers and airlines
- Investigating, quoting & planning the most appropriate route for a shipment considering the nature of goods, cost, transit time and security
- Obtaining & checking documentation to meet customs, packing specifications, and compliance with other countries' regulations. Obtaining information to compete customs declarations in the UK
- Utilise internet technology to support customer tracking of goods whilst maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- Previous experience and working knowledge of Import operations and main transport methods
- Proven problem solver, with a keen eye for detail and respect for confidentiality
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
