**Job description**:
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) is responsible for medical support to Portsmouth Naval Base. This includes Primary Healthcare as delivered by HMS Nelson Medical Centre. As such there is a supplier/ customer relationship between HMS Nelson Medical Centre and Captain of the Base and is outlined in the Service Level Agreement.
The HMS Nelson Medical Centre provides comprehensive General Practice and occupational health services to all of the military personnel either employed within the Naval Base or the Southern Region. It also prepares military medical personnel for their deployed roles as well as also providing limited medical services to reservists.
The comprehensive DPHC (London and South) provision includes
physiotherapy, Well Woman clinic, Immunisations, Audiology, access to Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH), Minor Surgery Clinic and a Regional Occupation Health Team (ROHT).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process all new joiners and drafters, ensuring all force protection requirements are
up to date and medical appointments booked as required
- Issue patients with relevant documentation
- Process Royal Navy (RN) Leaver forms ensuring all documentation is completed
accurately and in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- In the absence of the front office Leading Medical Assistant (LMA), book pre and
post mobilisation medical appointments on behalf of the Reservist Cell
- To provide cover for Reception during leave and periods of absence

**Selection process details**:
