**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children in the nursery.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage daily nursery operations and ensure high standards of care.
- Lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play.
- Support children in developing essential life skills such as sharing, cooperation, and independence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.

**Requirements**:

- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare settings is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for working with children and driving their development through engaging activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
