Senior UX Designer

**Senior UX Designer - Accrington Head Office - Working closely with internal and external teams, you will plan, design and develop products across omni-channel (web, store and telesales). **The Role - Senior UX Designer**

We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated Senior UX Designer to join our digital team. You will be focused on leading User Experience & User Research with an obsession about customer journeys and will work collaboratively to support thelong term digital vision for Bensons for Beds.
The Senior UX Designer will work closely with internal and external teams to plan, design and develop products across omni-channel (web, stores and telesales).

Daily responsibilities include:

- Create UX documentation (flows, journey mapping, wireframes, prototypes, etc.) to validate your designs and to improve them.
- Translate business requirements into user stores and feed them into the product backlog which is maintained with a comprehensive acceptance criteria.
- Execute high-fidelity screen designs for mobile, tablet and desktop, maintaining consistency with existing design systems.
- Gather & conduct qualitative user research to understand user pain points (remote testing, usability labs, surveys etc.)
- Work closely with our web analyst analysing quantitative user research to understand user opportunities within the customer journey.
- Drive the optimisation programme by planning an A/B testing roadmap.
- Engage with developers for proper handoff (file exportation and requirements).
- Conduct QA testing to ensure high quality delivery with no issues at go live.
- A champion of UX to the business and accessibility best practices.

**Skills needed**

We are looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:

- Demonstrable experience of UX design working on cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with common design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch/InVision & Axure, etc.)
- Familiarity with web standards and build technologies such as HTML and CSS, design sprints, lean UX and design thinking.
- Experience working in an Agile software environment or on Scrum teams is desirable.
- Experience of using visual design software (Adobe CC Suite).
- Experience of Google Analytics and Google Optimize is required.
- Experience of heat mapping and screen recording software is desirable.
- Experience in a similar role in a retail/omni-channel setting is desirable.
- Commercially aware with an ability to define success metrics.
- Ability to plan, conduct, execute and then analyse user testing within the lab or via remote testing platforms i.e. Usertesting.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating customer-first mindset backed up with user research at all stages of the customer flow.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential for this role.
