The Project Support Officer will provide Programme Management Office (PMO) and Project Management support for a portfolio of projects identified as part of the Trust strategic plans.
Supporting project and programme managers to produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and to facilitate full realisation of benefits defined in the Business Cases.
Support development and maintenance PMO documentation, templates and processes within the PMO.
Administration of project management framework processes & tools.
Support the delivery of projects/programmes undertaken by the PMO through effective facilitation including tracking and reporting.
Assist with effective monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management.
Ensure accurate, open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and Stakeholders.
Researching and drafting correspondence/ papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks.
Provision of reporting and analysis of information across a range of specialties, functions and projects.
Supporting the development of business cases, project planning, and risk and issue management.
The Programme Management Office (PMO) function is a critical part of the Trust that supports clinical leaders and the senior management team to maintain grip of the strategic change programme to reduce unwarranted variation in care and outcomes for patients.

The nearest train station is in Gobowen, approximately two miles from the hospital. The station is part of the Chester to Birmingham line.
The frequency of the below tasks undertaken by the post holder will fluctuate as the requirement will be different for each project. For large complex projects/ or projects with shorter timescales tasks may have to be undertaken daily whereas for less complex projects or projects with longer timescales tasks will be undertaken on weekly or monthly basis.
1. Assist the Project Managers in preparation, delivery, updating and monitoring all Project activity, documentations and deliverables.
2. Support the development of the project scoping, initiation documents (PID) and plans
3. To work with the project managers/project sponsors to gain the relevant approvals for projects and ensure that these are properly documented and traceable.
4. Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Determine stakeholders needs and expectations and develop and establish a communication plan with stakeholders
6. Assist the Project Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans.
7. Tracking of project deliverables using appropriate tools and constantly monitoring of progress of the project to ensure project completion criteria are being met, appropriately resolving minor project issues whilst escalating and reporting on significant difficulties and complications in a timely manner.
