As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a Head of Data to join our Engineering & Operations team.

As our Head of Data, you’ll be responsible for shaping and leading Kwalee’s data strategy, managing a talented team of Data Engineers, Scientists and BI Developers. You’ll work closely with our product, design and game teams to turn data into a powerful driver of decision-making and innovation across the business.

This is a permanent role based in our Leamington Spa studio, where our daily in-office collaboration fuels creativity and innovation. If you're not already based locally, we’ll support your move with comprehensive relocation assistance and visa sponsorship, ensuring a smooth transition.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define and lead Kwalee’s technical data vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Manage and mentor the Data Team, supporting their growth and development.
- Architect and evolve a scalable, modern data platform to support our game and business needs.
- Drive high coding standards and best practices across data engineering.
- Champion data literacy and self-service tools across the company.
- Deliver measurable value through machine learning, AI and analytics projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- 8+ years of experience in data or analytics, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in gaming analytics (e.g. LTV, ARPDAU, churn, UA attribution).
- Strong hands-on skills with SQL, Python or R, and familiarity with tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Databricks, Spark or Hadoop.
- Demonstrated success delivering ML or optimisation use cases.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Based in our office in Leamington Spa with 5 days per week on site.
