**Outreach Worker**

**Role Requirements**
- An in-depth understanding of policies that affect target groups.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing.
- Commitment and enthusiasm.
- Good leadership, motivational and organisational skills.
- The ability to work both on your own and in a team.
- Sincerity, patience, tact and the ability to earn the trust of others.
- Excellent listening skills and confidence in talking to people both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Provide information, advice and guidance to Supported Accommodation Workers to develop service users’ financial resilience and independent living skills.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to Supported Accommodation Workers to develop service users’ life skills leading up to moving onto independent living.
- Provide Education & Training support or referral to external providers:

- Basic Needs Assessments
- Referral or in-house support with literacy, numeracy and ICT
- Course searches to find courses
- Enrolling on external courses
- Provide Employment and Volunteering support or referral to external providers:

- Identifying employment/volunteering interests and any skill gaps
- Finding vocational training opportunities/voluntary work
- Jobs searches to find employment
- CV writing
- Interview techniques
- Remote working
- Office base in Bedford
