**Job Description**:
A new opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and flexible **Supplier Relationship Management Lead** to influence policy and work collaboratively with other leads in the Procurement team and with all functional leads across the Business Units and Government.
You will have significant expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills with a proven track record in delivering strategy. You will also have proven experience in supplier/contract management, purchasing process and operational procurement matters to further enable the successful delivery of UKAEA goals.
A good understanding of the wider business coupled with the ability to coach and empower others will be key elements to be successful in this role.
**What will you be responsible for?**
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will be directly responsible for defining a plan for development and growth of Supplier Relationship Management programme at UKAEA. Your main responsibilities include:
Managing, delivering, advising on Supplier Relationship Management practices with the Community of practice within Cabinet Office and be the UKAEA representative for liaison with BEIS on Supplier Relationship Management working practices.
Attending regular meetings with BEIS, Crown Representatives and Cabinet Office to enhance and extend our SRM portfolio and delivery.
Advising on and representing UKAEA on Supplier Relationship Management Practices, strengthening UKAEA's work with strategic suppliers
Developing a programme to implement SRM, including a communications strategy, stakeholder management plans, leading on all initial workshops.
Evaluating, recommending and influencing new directions and approaches for SRM
Leading on development on SRM programme
**Note**: The role can either be based in Oxfordshire or South Yorkshire (Rotherham) with a requirement for regular travel to Culham.

Qualifications*
Essential skills, experience and competence required*
Degree level or equivalent experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
Ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and confidently provide advice, guidance and constructive challenge when necessary, with regular reporting
Have excellent organisational skills and be able to balance multiple priorities/projects, whilst ensuring that key customers and stakeholders are kept informed.
Previous experience of the full commercial lifecycle and experience of working within public sector
High quality written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to communicate with confidence and impact.
Relevant expertise and experience to act as the lead expert for Supplier Relationship Management and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
**Desirable skills, experience and competence**
Familiarity with project management products such as: highlight reports, risk and issue logs
Strong IT skills, with experience of using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and/or industry equivalents and the Google Office Suite.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to create clear project plans and governance
