**Overview of Responsibilities**:
The salary for this role is **£66,436**_. _**Onsite working** is expected for **3 days each week**, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role is to be based at the following site; **Culham, Oxfordshire**.
This role requires employees to **complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)**, including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
**The Role**
As part of the Senior Leadership Group, you’ll lead workforce planning, improve recruitment processes, and foster strong relationships with stakeholders. You’ll oversee the Resourcing Teams, ensuring efficient delivery of services, compliance with laws, and effective talent acquisition strategies. Additionally, you’ll enhance retention efforts, build external partnerships, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and motivate the Resourcing Team.
- Ensure efficient, customer-focused recruitment services.
- Oversee pre-employment compliance, talent acquisition, and secondments.
- Drive recruitment and retention process improvements.
- Build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Lead diversity initiatives and ensure compliance with recruitment policies.
- Manage recruitment projects and evaluate effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and budgets.
Corporate Accountabilities:
- Model UKAEA values and promote continuous improvement.
- Oversee team performance, staffing, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with UKAEA policies on equality, sustainability, and data protection.

**Qualifications**:
- Chartered CIPD qualification (Level 7) or equivalent experience, or willingness to obtain within 6-12 months.
**Essential Skills and Abilities**:
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking to set direction and align with organizational goals.
- Competent in budget oversight, performance management, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Ability to analyze technical information and build cross-functional collaborations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues to various audiences and influence senior leaders.
- Strong organizational skills for business planning, prioritization, and managing competing demands.
- Proven experience leading HR or recruitment teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated success in driving change and building high-performing teams in customer-focused operations.
- Experience communicating complex people-related matters to senior leaders.
- Experience gained withing science and engineering would be desirable.
