Tailor Made Sourcing Ltd are proud to be working with a leading online retail company based in Burnley. Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to work within the Buying and Merchandising team as a Trainee Merchandiser.
You will ensure that new products brought into the business meet brand standards by the time they go live on the websites as well as the upkeep of existing products; ensuring that the visual merchandising of all products maximises the sales potential.
**The Role**:
¨ To take responsibility for new merchandising requests, ensuring the request is successfully followed through to completion; up until the point of the products going live on the websites
¨ Categorising of new product, assigning filter values, and ensuring the products with sold with/alongside other relevant or essential product
¨ To work closely with numerous teams (Buying, Purchasing, Data Management, Marketing), ensuring that products move smoothly through the critical path, and meet brand standards by the time products go live on the websites
¨ To track all ongoing progress consistently and reliably, on a per product basis, on the critical path, ensuring proper visibility for all adjacent teams
¨ To take personal responsibility for the final sign off all products that go live on transactional websites
**¨**To take on a variety of tasks that pertain to the upkeep of existing product on transactional websites
**You will**:
¨ Ideally you will have experience as a Visual Merchandiser or similar not essential
¨ Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
¨ A committed and effective team player with a clear customer focus and a positive 'can do’ attitude
¨ Able to adapt to new work challenges and situations, adopting a positive attitude to change
¨ Have excellent attention to detail and time management skills
¨ Knowledge of Microsoft Excel - ideal but not essential as training can be given
¨ The ability to manage and manipulate large quantities of data in Microsoft Excel.
