**Overview Of The Role**
The Commercial Training Services Team forms a significant part of the University
portfolio and includes the development of all apprenticeships. This post is part of the
Commercial Training Services Team within the Enterprise and Innovation Directorate
and plays a key role in ensuring compliance within the Apprenticeship portfolio.
To successfully undertake the role, the post holder will be required to work under their
own initiative be dynamic, hardworking, a self-starter, and ability to multi-tasking is
essential. Due to the commercial nature of Apprenticeships maintaining a high level
of customer service and attention to detail is essential.
Develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure
excellent levels of service delivery. Due to the flexible nature of apprenticeship
programmes the post holder will be required to work to tight deadlines, respond to
enquiries and queries quickly and professionally and maintain service delivery KPIs
across the project.
**Responsibilities/key duties**
- To develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
to ensure EPAO guidelines and contractual requirements have been adhered to
and are in line with ESFA requirements
- Provide administrative support across the range of apprenticeship programmes
which includes:
o Ensuring requirements are adhered to by internal services e.g. student
journey, registry and planning and finance;
- Ensure compliance with approved processes for admissions, registration, periodic
review, assessment and EPA requirements. Responsible for the co-ordination
and monitoring of EPA contractual activities for apprenticeship programmes
according to EPAO standards, ESFA funding regulations and university
procedures. This includes:
o Perform all administrative tasks related to EPA, including the booking of
Apprenticeship EPA's
- Registration of apprentices on relevant EPAO platforms in a timely manner
- Update apprentice data in response to changes in circumstances
- Assisting in SITs functions, using own initiative to check with SITs to ensure
accuracy
- Administration of programme documentation in line with quality
guidelines/templates
- Monitor apprentice progress towards EPA with Academic Programme
Leads and ensure information is current on EPAO platforms
- Maintain regular contact with EPAO's relationship managers to ensure
contractual requirements are followed
- Develop and maintain sound knowledge of EPAO’s evidence requirements
for fully integrated and external partner EPAs
- Liaise with employers to provide updates regarding their apprentices EPA’s
- Work in line with GDPR policies
- Raise invoices for provision where required
- Implementing and enhancing customer service processes, ensuring a high
quality and positive client and student experience at all times;
- Support with the implementation of EPA processes for all apprenticeship
programmes within the University;
- Support with the tracking of EPA activities across the lifespan of the
apprenticeship, and highlight any issues/chase progress across the University;
- Co-ordinate and attend events to promote apprenticeship programmes;
- Be the main point of contact for any EPA queries and respond in a timely manner
- to enquiries from employers, apprentices and internal colleagues- Support with pre-meeting co-ordination (inviting attendees, booking meeting
rooms, arranging refreshments / hospitality, circulation of minutes, agendas,
assembling and circulating papers)
- Support with the consideration and recommendation of changes to current
processes based on colleague suggestions and experience of apprenticeship
contracting;
- Assist with the liaison with faculties and services to ensure processes are
followed in a timely and effective manner;

- To support the team in the organisation of events and conferences relating to
apprenticeship provision;
- To undertake any other administrative duties and responsibilities for
apprenticeship provision appropriate to the level of responsibility, as determined
by the Manager

specifically the ability to travel and attend project sessions as and when appropriate.
