**About the role**:
The role of local Fleet Operations Specialist, UK & Ireland, plans and directs Fleet Management operations in accordance to the local and regional BD car policies.

They are responsible for ensuring local standards are maintained for our company car users such as health and safety and training. The Fleet Coordinator will be the local contact person for all company car users and external provides for the scheme.

This role will be responsible for analysis, checks, plans, and directs the activities and operations of the designated fleet and its drivers. They will provide operation oversight, day to day management and required reporting and compliance mandates and maintains and uses the local fleet management database.

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- Owns relationship with company car providers, insurance company and other external providers.
- Handles all reporting processes related to local fleet and demanded by local authorities.
- Point of contact for local team on car policies queries from associates and managers.
- Monitors everything related to the use of leased cars and used by BD associates.
- Supports planning, preparing and tracking budget, expenditures and analyses all financial objectives
- Ensures proper use and care of the fleet, helps to prevent equipment failures, controls costs and manages external local vendor relationships
- Drives overall fleet compliance, from local vendor compliance to driver safety
- Contributes to the development and improvement of the car policy and local car program and operations together with HR, Total Rewards and Regional Fleet Manager, in line with local BD procedures and the market and the business needs of BD.
- Contributes to BD Sustainability agenda from identifying opportunities to increase low carbon fleet to monitoring and tracking progress
- Launch and host fleet forum to conduct regular reviews with the commercial leads, finance, compliance and external leasing partners and legal advisors
- Provides local organisation with annual training requirements including manager training.
- Monthly fuel reports check and analyses; clarifying deviations - contact with management if further steps are required.
- Manages local fuel card process.
- Regular audit check to ensure BD have company car user's copy of driving license (if allowed).
- Implementation and coordination of any new project or program related to corporate fleet on local level (i.e. telematics, safety program, e-learning, training courses).

**About you**:

- Previous administration experience managing fleet
- Strong communication skills when working with external account managers, suppliers & associates
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Ability to prioritise & organise workload
- Attention to detail is critical and working to deadlines on a daily basis
- Solution driven & flexible approach to work
