We are currently recruiting a Senior Carer on behalf of our client, a residential care home based in Solihull.

Main responsibilites:

- To comply with the homes Health & Safety, COSHH & Environmental Regulations.
- To attend and contribute to staff meetings when required.
- To attend all training, this includes mandatory and best practice.
- All training will be indicated by a T on the rota
- To maintain confidentiality on all aspects of care and your work within the home.
- To have a working knowledge of the homes Policies and Procedures in respect of your job.
- To comply with The Skills for Care Code of Practice for Health & Social Care Workers and the Employee Handbook.
- To ensure you comply with the K.L.O.E’s
- You must be able to respond and take appropriate action to meet the resident’s well-being. This could be phoning GP, District Nurse, 999 for example.
- To ensure that you report any concerns regarding the residents to management team. This could be health concerns, deterioration, emotional, etc. Once reported it must be documented in the individual’s daily notes. If there are any concerns regarding the safety of the building this must be reported to the management team
- To support residents with personal care to the level of care they require which could include: using the shower, nail care, shaving, combing or brushing the hair, oral care, helping to use the toilet/commode and all continence needs, supporting to get up in the morning and to go to bed, washing, dressing, supporting with toiletries, perfumes, aftershaves, jewellery and makeup.

**Salary**: £12.55 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
