The main purpose of the role is to manage the finance team for the company and ensure processes are carried out in a timely and efficient manner across each team. Reporting into the FD, this role will be responsible for maintaining good relationships bothinternally and with suppliers, and managing internal teams to ensure maximum output in transactional finance.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage the credit control and purchase ledger team to ensure KPIs and deadlines are hit
- Ensure suppliers are paid in terms of agreement and relationships are maintained
- Ensure all invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Business partnering to build and maintain relationships between departments in not only finance, but the wider business
- Ensure supplier statements are reconciled on a regular basis
- Weekly payment run
- Managing relationships with debtors to ensure overdue debt is kept to a minimum
- Ensure debtors are managed appropriately and bad debt is kept to a minimum using effective credit control and debt management practices
- Creating an aged debt report to present to senior management
- Resolving any queries that arise in either AP or AR
- Arranging and carrying out regular 1-2-1's to update on individual performance and set goals/targets
- Ad-hoc duties such as ensuring all controls operate efficiently and that all legislation is adhered to

**Essential experience**:

- Good communication skills at all levels, including stakeholder management
- Experienced in managing AR,AP and Credit Control teams
- Experienced in resolving queries and dealing with difficult customers
- Organised and good at managing time
- Numerate and IT literate, happy to work on Excel and other ERP systems
