**We have the opportunity for you to join the West Thames Valley Water Production team as Technical Coordinator.**

**The role is primarily covering Oxford area, with the expectation to help cover other areas when needed.**

You will utilise your technical expertise to support the Production Manager, ensuring 24/7 safe and efficient operation of water treatment works, reservoirs and boosters to ensure consistent, wholesome water for our customers.

**Location - Farmoor - Oxford - OX2 9NS**

**Working hours - 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday**

**What you will be doing as a Technical Co-Ordinator**
- You will be responsible for the management of the pre-requisites within SAP (materials, permits, resources and services) for all complex jobs for planned and reactive work across maintenance and operations.
- Use technical expertise and data captured from the field to design operationally critical jobs.
- Highlight key operational risks across the area and present these to obtain funding.
- Maintain the availability of plant and equipment and optimise treatment process performance.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on technical issues and generate solutions to operational risks.
- Obtain quotes, order materials and 3rd party services through our framework contractors.
- Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are managed correctly, through safe system of work approval, reviewing RAMS, permitting and site audits.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that our legal statutory maintenance requirements are met. These will include items such as lifting equipment, pressure vessels and generators.

**What should you bring to the role?**
- Technical knowledge of Water Production or Waste Management.
- IOSH or equivalent, and managing contractor experience.
- High attention to detail.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and proactive in approach.
- An understanding of project delivery, business procedures and processes.
- Ability to mentor & transfer skills to others.
- Ability to liaise at all levels and influence beyond span of control.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software.
- **A full current driving license is essential for this position as the role involves travelling around our sites.**

- Offering a salary up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
