Purchasing Administrator

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Chase suppliers for order acknowledgements and delivery updates
- Process order confirmations
- Maintain prices on master data
- Support Purchasing in Tendering Projects
- Support Purchasing in reviewing the Outstanding orders reports and the Delivery Performance reports
- Liaise with suppliers to collect rejected parts and fill in the NCR forms.
- Support Purchasing in reviewing the MRP messages.
- Carry out routine purchasing of day-to-day consumables
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing processes or Business Administration, desirable but not essential. Ideally will have or be studying towards CIPS qualifications
- High level of PC literacy; especially in Excel.
- Experience of an ERP system essential, Navision ERP system desirable (but not essential as training will be given)
- Experience of initiating, negotiating, finalising and formalising product procurement
- Knowledge of value chain management, as well as procurement and supply management principles and practices
