An opportunity has arisen for a part time Support Secretary/Co-ordinator within the Nursing Allied Health Administration Unit at Maidstone Hospital working with a Lead Secretary/Co-ordinator

A good range of secretarial/administrative skills, including knowledge of medical terminology, audio word-processing and patient centre booking experience is required. The ability to organise your day and work as part of a team are also desirable. Applicants should be confident, self-motivated and be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties. The applicant should be able to demonstrate an interest to learn new skills. They should also hold relevant secretarial / audio / word-processing qualification and ideally have previous NHS / medical experience.

The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to lead co-ordinator/sec. The role will includes using dedicated software to manage patient appointments, the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems. The post holder will often be the first point of contact for patients and other personnel requiring clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.
