Chalk Education are currently looking for a **SEND TA **to work in a special needs provision based in Liverpool. Working within a friendly setting, this is an excellent opportunity to work within Specialist education.

This special primary school caters for young people aged 4 -11 with a range of needs, including: Autism, ADHD, Social Emotional Developmental Needs. This SEND TA role will be a mixture of working with individual children, supporting small groups and assisting the full class. The successful person will work primarily in the classroom. You will be encouraging the creativity and assisting learning together with supporting children at lunchtimes. You will also be expected to promote positive behaviour to enable all children to achieve their best.

This warm and friendly special school is situated in a beautiful building in the scenic area in Liverpool.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

**To be considered for this you will need**:

- Experience supporting young people with SEMH/Challenging behaviour
- Ideal would be De-escalation / positive handling training
- A positive attitude and flexible approach
- Level 2/3 Teaching assistant Qualification essential

**Additional requirements**:

- References confirming suitability for role
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
