We are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis (3 months) to help support our current operations team at our offices in Dunfermline, Fife.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the activities associated with the transportation of Havis product - inbound and outbound.
- Optimise transport planning in the most efficient way for Customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain proper and accurate Pre-Shipment and Post-shipment administration.
- Evaluates,records, and responds to additional/special service requests (i.e. inside delivery, same day delivery etc.)
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving service and operational issues.
- Document shipping procedures for all Havis shipping destinations.
- Monitor performance and cost data for the main service freight / logistics carriers.
- Ensure orders are physically and systemically received into service inventory locations.
- Assist with preparations for trade shows including liaising with OEM suppliers for the use of their technology at these events.
- Assist with stock control measures such as periodic stock checks to ensure safe storage of all warehouse assets.
**Requirements**:
- Must have pleasant helpful manner.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail and organisation.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Problem solving skills.
- Experience of international shipping and documentation.
- Experience of working with courier companies and freight forwarders.
**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
