Bar and Waiting Staff

**The Thistle Inn - Bar & Brasserie** is currently under new management and refurbishment. We are looking to open around April time so this wouldn’t be an immediate start so please keep this in mind.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Your friendly and attentive demeanour, along with your knowledge of our menu offerings, will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests.
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with them throughout their dining experience.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Server or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of culinary terms and menu items.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Basic math skills for handling payments accurately.
- Cocktail and bar experience (training provided)

Pay: £8.00-£12.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
