**Role Summary**:

The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance Department in managing and processing various accounts and transactions. The Accounts Assistant reports to the Financial Controller and is based in the Portland Office.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Credit control
- Review employee expenses and mileage
- Quarterly VAT reconciliations
- Supplier payments
- Assist with annual audit
- Create, send, and follow up on Sales Ledger invoices
- Process various types of Purchase Ledger transactions
- Prepare/post journals for various end of month tasks
- Provide support to other team members
- Track and reconcile bank statements
- Communicate with suppliers & customers regarding account balances and payments
- Setting up new suppliers/customer in Sage 200 and carrying out relevant checks
- Ad hoc duties where required

**Requirements**:

- AAT Qualifications Level 3 preferred but not required
- Computer Skills and knowledge of relevant software (i.e. Sage 200, excel)
- Previous finance experience essential
- Prioritising
- Planning and organising
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Teamwork
- Communication skills - written and verbal

**Other information**:
Remuneration package of £24,000 to £27,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications, 25 days holiday + bank holidays a year, pension, discount voucher scheme. Full time 37 ½ hours a week. Full training & support will be provided where necessary and appropriate.

Must have the right to work in the UK.
