**What we are looking for**

An opportunity is available for an **Offshore Construction Consultant **(Outside of IR35) to provide independent contract services to support the multi-discipline delivery of significant energy development studies (typically at conceptual / pre-FEED project stages).

We are seeking a senior/experienced consultant to provide value add study contributions by embedding offshore construction knowledge and experience into the early stages of energy development projects. The consultant will typically support multi-disciplinary early-phase studies, for our extensive range of clients, for offshore projects in the UK and globally.

Genesis globally is managed within core services lines (Early Advisory Solutions, Development Solutions and Asset Lifecycle Solutions) and key markets (Low Carbon, CO2 Management & Renewables and Upstream & Downstream Oil & Gas). The Genesis UK Operating Centre (with offices in Aberdeen and London) is organised into 8 core delivery teams. Service provision would support the Project and Discipline Engineering Delivery Team. This team currently comprises circa 50+; engineers, project engineers and study managers managed in six core delivery groups including; _Project Engineering & Operations / Piping & Layouts, Mechanical and Construction / Electrical / Control, Instrumentation & Telecommunications / Structural, Civil and Marine / Decommissioning. _

**Scope of Services**

The scope of services requires broad offshore construction management experience covering all aspects of topsides infrastructure construction and campaign delivery and shall include:

- Offshore construction philosophy/strategy development and assurance (encompassing heavy-lift, accommodation flotels, rig mobilisation and walk-to-work vessel campaigns).
- Embedding offshore construction knowledge into multi-discipline facility design, incl. input to facility layout and structural design.
- Comparative assessment of greenfield and brownfield plant modification strategies from a constructability perspective.
- Participate in / lead and document constructability reviews to ensure construction requirements are incorporated into facility design.
- Participate in project assurance activities including HAZID and project HSSE reviews.
- Input to project pre-FEED work breakdown and packaging, and uncertainty, risk, and opportunity management.
- Developing the project construction strategy, execution planning and contracting strategy (ensuring construction methods are consistent with established industry processes).
- Developing installation sequencing, schedule timings and resource requirements estimates.
- Support comparative techno-economic assessment of project development options with key construction inputs (e.g. flotel duration basis, production outage assumptions, critical path scheduling assumptions basis, etc.).
- Knowledge/interface experience of project commissioning/operations requirements.
- De-construction planning and strategy development for offshore asset decommissioning.
- Provision of owner’s engineer construction management services.
- Interface closely with client project management and construction representatives to ensure client requirements are addressed.

**Requirements**:
The service provider(s) is required to have:

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Offshore experience within the oil, gas, or renewable industry in a senior offshore construction role, including safety, integrity, and construction philosophy/campaign delivery optimisation.
- Proven strong HSSE leadership, risk management skills and process safety awareness in a construction / operational site environment.
