Extrusion Operator

We have exciting opportunities for both **Trainee Plastic Extrusion Operators** and experienced **Plastic Extrusion Operators** to join a well-established Plastic Sheet Manufacturer in Redditch. Opportunities exist for both day and night shifts, working a minimum of 48 hours a week. Extra shifts are sometimes available dependent on workload.

Previous experience of running plastic extrusion lines producing polyolefin sheet is preferable, but consideration will be given to those with Profile or Blown Film experience.

The role involves:

- Controlling and adjusting machines settings to ensure product quality and production rates are achieved whilst adhering to safe working practices and standard operating procedures.
- Observation of strict quality control measurements, challenging non-conformances, and participation as required in the introduction of counter measures to prevent further quality issues.
- Recording of hourly gauge thickness checks.
- Involvement in basic Preventative Maintenance to help eliminate unnecessary down time.
- Manual handling.
- Fork lift operation
- Use of basic hand and machine tools.
- Other general duties as required by the management team
