Monday to Friday hours worked from 8pm to 6am (Night shifts) / Saturday: £13.89 paye inclusive per hour

Sunday / Bank Holidays: £17.00 paye inclusive per hour

7 days shifts can be any of the below:
0700 - 1300 (with 30 min break) 5.5 hours

0900 - 1500 (with 30 min break) 5.5 hours

1300 - 1900 (with 30 min break) 5.5 hours

1600 - 2200 (with 30 min break) 5.5 hours

**Domestic**:

- Provide a courteous efficient cleaning service within the trust.
- Use and care of approved cleaning materials and equipment at all times in accordance with the operator instructions.
- Ensure that all equipment and materials are used and stored safely in compliance with COSHH regulations.
- Undertake all cleaning duties in a safe manner using hazard signs as appropriate
- To project a friendly and professional attitude to all patients, staff and visitors and to demonstrate product knowledge when enquires are made.
- Ensure that communication channels are maintained between appropriate staff / suppliers / contractors /visitor / patient groups with regard to cleaning sciences.
- Work in a safe manner so that no other persons are put at risk whilst cleaning duties are being performed.
- Initially deal with any complaints / comments regarding the service in a courteous manner from Trust staff or patients.
- As required or under supervision, provision of any ad-hoc cleaning duties complying with any specific infection control or management instruction in respect of specific cleaning requirements.

**Specific duties will include**:

- Vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing floors
- Cleaning of furniture and fittings including beds, lockers and chairs
- Cleaning of bathrooms and toilets
- Disposal of waste including domestic and clinical
- High and low level cleaning of ledges, window sills, curtain rails etc
- Replenishing of soap, hand towels and toilet paper
- Cleaning of any glass partitions and mirrors.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
- Secretarial qualification/training or relevant experience
- Competent typing skills
- Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience of working with databases
- Experience of working in a demanding office environment
- Confident and can work unsupervised once trained

**Catering**:

- Preparation of vegetables, fruit, salads, sandwiches, desserts, light meals and beverages.
- The washing, drying and storage of a wide range of equipment and utensils associated with a kitchen pot wash area.
- Cleaning duties within the allocated department of work and associated areas in accordance with the department cleaning schedule.
- Up to date knowledge around dietary/ allergy knowledge will be maintained.
- The handling of monies, as required.
- Completion of Trust and departmental paperwork as required.
- Ensuring correct waste disposal procedures in accordance with Trust policy.
- Assistance with Health, Safety, Hygiene and monitoring checks/audits.
- Attendance at meetings and training sessions as required.
- To observe Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Legislation, Trust policies and procedures at all times, reporting any faults, defects or operational issues to the Head of Department/Hotel Services Manager.
- Sealing and packaging of food in preparation of delivery.
- Ensure that you wear the correct uniform provided and that it is clean and tidy.
- Ensure portion sizes are adhered to as specified by the Dietician and Management.
- To carry out any other reasonable request of the Manager.

**Qualifications, skills and Experience**
- Good level of written and verbal communication skills
- Basic literacy skills
- Moving and Handling knowledge
- Good customer service skills / experience of dealing with General Public / Patients / Relatives
- Ability to follow instructions and organise own work to meet the team objectives, adapting work to meet any changing priorities which may need to meet tight timescales
