We are looking for an experienced Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our faced paced, friendly and dynamic team at our New Southgate branch.

**Trade Counter Sales Assistant Responsibilities**:

- Greeting, serving and assisting customers.
- Taking, making and returning phone calls.
- Providing customers with advice and guidance on product selection.
- Quoting and liaising with customers.
- Taking orders for deliveries and ensuring that the delivery is completed by transport.
- Following company procedures for sales/returns (In General about 3 months before doing Returns).
- Taking cash and card payments.
- Balancing cash registers with receipts.
- Ensuring customer complaints are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Ordering special order items-following up returns to suppliers when necessary.
- Stock taking and stock checks.
- Keeping the counter clean and tidy.
- Keeping counter restocked/merchandised.
- Keeping up to date with promotions updating displays.
- Adherence to health and safety legislation.
- Following the trade counter supervisors’ instructions.

**Personal Attributes Include**:

- At least one years’ experience of working in the building merchants or trade industry experience on a trade counter would be preferred but training will be provided.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent team player.
- Compliance with Company Health and Safety and Security and Privacy policies
- Good IT Skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
