**New Job | Finance Analyst - 6M FTC - Circa£50k per annum - Manchester Office/Hybrid**

Morson are proud to be partnering with a Global Travel company looking for a **Finance Analyst** to join the small UK finance team for a minimum period of 6 months.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the **Finance Analyst** will support the financial performance and forecasting of the Ecommerce division through the production of high-quality financial analysis and reporting to enable robust decision making.

You will support the commercial activity of the business, with principal accountability for the analysis required to maintain an integral contract with American Express. More widely, focus will span monthly reporting processes as well as business case evaluationand ad-hoc project work, assisting the Finance Director, Finance Business Partner, and US commercial team. The Finance Analyst will act as the main point of liaison with the Finance and Accounting team, alongside the Finance Business Partner.

The **Finance Analyst** will have the following Principle Accountabilities:

- Support the monthly management reporting process; being the first point of contact with the F&A and other transactional Group Finance teams.
- Assist the Finance Business Partner in the preparation of the monthly Divisional review content for the region and ad-hoc US Board analysis for the Finance Director
- Lead role in the monthly American Express reconciliation process for the Phoenix site
- Ad-hoc analysis as needed to support our American Express partner
- Assist in the production of high-quality analysis and commentary that provides valuable insight and decision-making support to the business and its key stakeholders.
- Support the commercial and operational teams in analysing performance, detailed reporting, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Support the Finance Business Partner in providing financial challenge and scrutiny in relation to financial performance, business / investment cases and change activities.
- Uphold a process and culture of continuous improvement, with specific focus on automating and standardising reporting outputs, and ongoing development of modelling and analytical capability.
- Ad-hoc work on the financial audit and internal control processes for the US division
- Support the Finance Director to work with Group Tax and Accounts Payable to ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines within the US, such as specific state tax regulations and registrations
- Work alongside the Finance Business Partner in developing a suite of new reports and tools for re-forecasting and business planning activities.
- Lead ad-hoc projects in conjunction with F&A in relation to balance sheet improvements.

**Knowledge, experience and skills**:

- Part qualified finance professional looking to develop commercial finance experience
- At least 2-3 years of finance/accounting experience;
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Advanced analytical skills;
- Preferably experienced in SAP and Power BI;
- A strong communicator able to interface with various stakeholders throughout the organisation;
- Ability to work well and deliver under pressure
- Excellent people and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, with high professional standards and a strong focus on internal customer service levels;
To be successful in this role, you will have a high energy/ can-do attitude, great organisational skills to manage different priorities and demonstrate that you are an enthusiastic ‘self-starter’.

**Location**: Manchester (near the airport)/ Hybrid, 3 or 4 days office based & 1 or 2 days remote each week

**Salary**: circa£45,000 per annum + benefits & bonus
