Finance Analyst

**New Job | Finance Analyst - Permanent - up to £40k per annum
- NW based / Manchester**

Morson are proud to be partnering with a Global Technology company looking for a **Finance Analyst** to join the FP&A team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the **Finance Analyst** will have the following responsibilities:
**Commercial Support**
- Review Business Unit (BU) operational and financial performance.
- Provide decision-making support and constructive challenge to the BU Leaders and management teams
- Use data and analysis to identify financial and business risks and suggest improvement and risk mitigation plans
- Facilitate the BU quarterly review process, timelines and course corrections
- Support the business to perform legal and commercial contract reviews, facilitating Group and Portfolio approvals with the COO

**Financial Reporting and Business Planning**
- Assist in the forecasting, budgeting and planning processes for the Group BU’s
- Ensure that the Group reporting requirements are met in respect of P&L reporting and analytics
- Assist with working capital management and create strategies to improve the ratio, collaborating with credit collection and BU teams as required
- Perform Group bonus calculations and ensuring other ad-hoc payments and commission are calculated correctly

**Corporate and Group Interactions**
- Operate within the approval matrix and ensure compliance with legal rules
- Uphold and enforce an environment of ethical practices
- Support the Financial Controller with the statutory audits as required
- Provide post-integration financial support to ensure the commercial finance function is established and operating effectively in the acquired BU

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- 2 to 3 years prior experience in a similar role
- Qualified to degree level with an accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA equivalent)
- A proven level of commercial expertise
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills, comfortable interacting with personnel at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives
- Flexible approach to working to take into account supporting different time zones
- Ability to work under pressure to tight time-scales
- Good sense of humour, with the ability to create and maintain excellent communications between respective sites and divisions
- Self-motivated starter, able to instigate and manage change
- An understanding of contracting terms and conditions and the assessment of commercial risk
- Broad knowledge of software and information technology markets an advantage

**Location**: UK, North West, Remote working with occasional travel to Manchester office.

**Salary**: up to £40,000 per annum + bonus (circa 10%)
