Wood is recruiting for Technical Specialists in Onshore and or Offshore Wind to join our advisory services team within our Renewable Energy consultancy business.

**The Role**

The Technical Specilist will join our Wind advisory team to to provide technical insight into onshore and offshore wind projects covering all aspects of installation and foundations.

As well as sharing technical knowledge you will develop the skills to provide technical due dilligence to our clients as Renewable Energy Consultants (RECs). As a REC you will undertake specific tasks relating to the delivery of a portfolio of due diligence assignments at the direction of the project manager and or team leaders. This will enable the assessment of renewable energy projects on behalf of our clients. Through a collaborative approach with multi-discipline teams, the RECs will project manage and support with the production of a professional and detailed report exacting the client’s requirements.

The breadth of work across our business will provide you with an opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, expanding your knowledge and expertise within the renewables and energy transition sector.

We are looking for engineers or technical specialists that have a solid technical understanding of the project lifecycles within Wind Energy systems who are looking to broaden thier experience into the advisory services field.

We have a unique library of recorded training material specifically for advisory services. You will also be able to join our companywide Energy Transition and Project Management (PM) academies. Here you will have the chance to increase and share your knowledge and gain exposure to new and emerging energy transition systems and technologies as well as where required sharpen and enhance your PM skills.

**Typical responsibilities**
- Assessing renewable energy projects on behalf of lenders, investors, and other project stakeholders
- Working within multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and other technical staff in the completion of due diligence assignments, under the direction and supervision of project managers
- Attending client meetings and undertaking site visits within the UK and globally
- Author and complete report sections within project deadlines, and scope requirements
