**Job purpose**

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Accurately measure and fit steel doors and frames to meet specifications.
- Install a variety of steel doors, including fire-rated, security and industrial doors.
- Adjust, align and secure doors to ensure smooth operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Work with a range of power and hand tools for precise installation.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance of existing steel doors as required.
- Co-ordinate with team members to understand specific requirements and provide clear communication on the job progress.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards and complies with relevant building codes.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Proven experience as a door fitter, preferably with steel or metal doors.
- Proficient with tools and machinery related to door fitting, including drills, grinders, levels etc.
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy doors.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- CSCS Card
- Availability to work away from home.

**Other Information**

This is a permanent role we are offering which is close proximity to Wigan, however, nationwide travel will be required. The rate of pay we are offering is £15.00 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience, based on a 37 hour working week.

We will also provide you with a company van and mobile phone.

Pay: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
