Apprentice Fabricator/welder

**Duties**
- You will receive training to weld plant machinery using a variety of tools and equipment.
- You will be trained to read drawings and recognize welding symbols and specifications.
- You must commit to punctual attendance for day - to day work and day release training at college

**Skills Required**:

- 4 GCSEs A-C grade would be desirable
- Have a keen interest in fabrication
- Have a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Good communication skills
- Able to continue to learn and take on new tasks as and when presented
- Able to work as part of a team

**Location**

Based in Company Premises on the Gilchrist Thomas Industrial Estate, Blaenavon.

**Hours of Work**

Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:15 (1/2 Hr Lunch Unpaid)

Friday 07:30 - 13:30 (No Lunch)

Minimum 39 Hour Week before any overtime is paid.

**Overtime**

Time & half for hours worked Monday - Saturday.

Double time for hours worked Sunday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £8.56-£9.84 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pontypool NP4 9RL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
