**Full-Time | Permanent Position**

Hescott Engineering, a leading name in steel fabrication and erection with over 40 years of industry expertise, is seeking an experienced and proactive **Steel Buyer** to join our project team at our head office in **Larbert**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing and purchasing structural steel and related materials
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating competitive pricing
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely deliveries to meet project deadlines
- Working closely with the design, production, and site teams
- Using **Strumis software** for procurement management, material tracking, and reporting
- Ensuring procurement is aligned with project specifications and budgets
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records and supplier data

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within the steel or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of **Strumis** or similar procurement and fabrication software
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Good understanding of steel grades, specifications, and suppliers
- Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
