The main responsibility of the Credit Controller is the active management of working capital and minimising outstanding cash with customers. The role will be based in Wigan with the opportunity of hybrid working.

**Duties Include**:

- Sending monthly overdue letters and customer statements to ensure the customers have all information needed to pay
- Internal and external query resolution, including escalation of unresolved queries to the Transactional Finance Manager
- Working closely with the customer service team to ensure that orders placed on credit hold can be released on a timely basis
- Negotiation of payment plans with customers who are experiencing cash flow problems
- Monthly reporting of overdue debts to Transactional Finance Manager
- Assistance with the preparation of the monthly bad debt accrual
- Ensuring the customer filing system is maintained to the high level of organisation to enable efficiency in daily business
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control
- Good PC skills using Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Experience within fast paced company as a credit controller, dealing with a high volume of customers and held orders
- Ability to perform subledger reconciliations advantageous
- Export experience a benefit
