Partnerships & Impact (P&I) is a team integral to understanding the needs of Defence and Security customers and for providing support to increase the impact of funded projects whether that is procurement by our customers or commercialisation. We are seeking an individual who is capable of operating independently, confident in communicating with a broad range of potential stakeholders and often faced with ambiguity. We are seeking to strengthen relationships between DASA and our partner organisations including Front Line Commands and procurement arms to increase partnering opportunities on innovation changes and increase exploitation of funded projects. We are looking for an individual who has a good understanding of the defence environment, a passion for innovation and strong relationship building experience to build a productive and collaborative partnership between DASA and Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S). We would like to find individuals with a customer delivery focus with experience of building trust and the ability to influence others to achieve successful outcomes. We welcome all applicants and those from the LGBTQI community. **Job description**: **In this role you will**: - Build a strategic network across DE&S in order to make progress in accordance with DASA’s strategy; - Undertake activities (e.g. briefings) to increase awareness of and engagement with DASA across DE&S; - This partnership should aim to develop an open and high trusted environment whereby DE&S will share their problems and future capability procurement challenges with you; - You will work at a strategic level to seek to align DASA activity to meet current and future priorities, key user requirements, capability gaps and funded equipment programmes. - Working with DE&S to improve coherence, knowledge sharing and enhance the Defence innovation ecosystem; - Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders the value of working with DASA and support the Defence Exploitation Managers when they need to showcase end of project outcomes as appropriate; - Represent DE&S strategy and requirements at key meetings such as DASA funding conferences; - Seek regular feedback on the relationship and value of DASA. - Generate new collaboration opportunities. - Provide support to the Defence Exploitation Managers to ensure funded innovations have maximum impact including identifying efficient ways to work with DE&S and being the senior DASA representative at meetings where appropriate. - Share innovation best practice to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. - Alongside the Defence Team Leader - matrix manage the DASA Defence Exploitation Team and Service. **For more information on the responsibilities of the Defence Partner role, please see the Job Profile attached below.** **Person specification**: **We are looking for someone who has**: - A good understanding of the Defence environment - A deep understanding of Defence acquisition and exploitation - A passion for innovation - A strong focus on exploitation and driving delivery of the right solutions into the hands of the end user - A willingness to challenge current norms and champion continuous improvement - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - The ability to engage and collaborate across organisational boundaries including managing complex and sensitive relationships - Experience of
