Media Relations Officer - Sheffield (Hybrid) - 2 Month Contract - £16-£20 per hour Advanced Resource Managers are looking for a Media Relations Officer to join their public sector client in Sheffield on an interim basis. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent relationship building skills, and the ability to prioritise different workloads. **Responsibilities**: - Work alongside team to prepare and implement communications plans. - Review and monitor these plans. - Manage media enquiries on behalf of the organisation and ensure the media presents a fair, balanced view of the organisation. - Take steps to protect and secure the reputation of the organisation - Provide support and advice on media issues, including advice to elected members, executive directors, directors, and heads of service. - Develop and maintain good working relationships with key journalists and reporters, alongside the Media Relations Supervisor. - Ensure comms strategy is delivered. - Monitor and report on social media as required. **Requirements**: - Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, matrix style environment. - Excellent communication skills across all channels - Ability and drive to build relationships with stakeholders, journalists, and media figures. - Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across varying levels of completion. - IT literate.
