Part Time Lettings and Allocations Officer

**Vacancy**: Lettings & Allocations Officer 1 x maternity cover for 10 months

**Location**: High Wycombe / Remote hybrid working

**Salary**: £14,187 p/a + Truly Excellent Benefits

**Role**: 18 hrs p/w 9am - 3pm Wednesday -Friday

We’re looking an organised and efficient individual to join our busy high performing team which is committed to changing the lives of our customers for the better by the provision of great homes and excellent service.

In this role you will play a key role in Paradigm, managing the property letting process smoothly with strong attention to detail making sure our customers are the main focus at all times.

You will also work closely with our Property Directorate teams, Community Neighbourhood Officers, Lettings Assistants, our ASB Team and Customer Support Team in delivering service in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures and legal and regulatory requirements.

**Skills and experience**:
You’ll need excellent communication skills both verbal and written and have the confidence to negotiating payments due from or to customers.

Numerate and comfortable working with basic financial information, with good IT skills to produce reports for us to review and analyse.

Some experience of Lettings and Allocations ideally with local authorities and or housing functions.

A knowledge of different property tenures such as shared ownership, leasehold, licences, assured and assured short-hold tenancies and fixed term tenancies.

Good knowledge of welfare provision or benefits and ability to assess the affordability of a property for a prospective tenant

Be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Where could the contract role take you?

Whilst the role is temporary (Maternity cover), in a business our size (around 400 people with a turnover in excess of £150m) and with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended, made permanent or other opportunities may arise; many of our talented colleagues started at Paradigm as temporary/interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with us. However, if something longer term doesn’t materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields.
