**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Defence Infrastructure Organisation which is a business unit within the MoD and has recently embarked on a new contract change to the Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS). FDIS incorporates three key principles of Excellent Performance from Suppliers and DIO, Empathetic handling of Customer and Families and Improved Customer Communications.

Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships that promote collaboration between a range of stakeholders that support continual improvement. Forward thinking, ability to see the bigger picture with an awareness of sustainability concepts, able to produce novel ideas that contribute to the 'lived experience'. An awareness of contract compliance principles that drive performance results and a determination to change and improve especially when difficult situations arise.

This post will include significant travel within the areas of business which have a wide geographic spread and will include the use of government provided vehicle.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate a personal dedication to the DIO Guiding Principles and 'Safety First' value
- Contract deliverables assurance both on and of the Estate: Complete monthly inspection reports
- Stakeholder management: Working in collaboration with Stakeholders, Industry Partners and other agencies to deliver the Future Defence Infrastructure Service Programme and ‘Families First’ approach
- Management of Billable Works
- Property inspections to determine condition and inspection of building works
- Resolution of complaints: Support the resolution of area level Stage 2 Complaints to promote positive outcomes
- In occupation queries and working with supply chain partners to resolve difficulties
- Total patch management with strong emphasis on improvement strategy: Travel to areas of responsibility to review improvement works
- Ensure local compliance with legislative and mandatory requirement
- Support the Housing Estate Manager with ad hoc business management tasks
- Attend Area and Region management meetings

**Desirable Skills & Experience**

The ability to demonstrate Functional Competence Estate Management 1.1 & 1.5 is desirable.

**Licences**:

- A full UK Driving Licence is required due to the nature of multiple housing site visits not all of which are accessible by public transport.**Behaviours**:

- Estate Management (EM) 1.1 Understands both estate and customer organisational structures and can explain their own role in supporting the Customer, Defence Estates (DE) & Industry Partner (IP) organisations.
- Estate Management (EM) 1.5 Understands the importance of maintenance to building structures and the role of maintenance in supporting the operational function of estate assets.
