We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals with a proven technical ability to join our teams in Climate Change Trading and Regulatory Services (CCTRS), part of the wider Operations Regulatory Services (ORS) team.
- The role will involve:
- Ensuring operators are compliant with regulations
- Delivering aspects of compliance audits
- Providing advice and guidance to industry
- Undertaking enforcement action where required
- Data analysis
- Developing guidance

Through training, mentoring, and coaching you will gain experience and develop your technical skills. We will also encourage you to keep developing your skills and professional knowledge throughout your career. The team
- CCTRS is part of National Operations and we regulate and administer various UK Government climate change schemes. The aim is to protect and improve our environment. These regimes are central to ensuring that the UK is meeting our targets relating to greenhouse gas emissions.
- The team is currently working from home, but our base locations are situated in Warrington, Preston and Sheffield offices. Subject to COVID restrictions, you may be required to attend the office.

Experience/skills required
- An ability to interpret technical guidance and well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to consistently deliver work to high standards and meet targets.
- Using effective written and spoken communication skills to influence and persuade external customers, stakeholders, and internal colleagues in order to deliver results.
- Good organisational skills to manage a varied workload, as well as the ability to take personal responsibility for own performance and development.
- Good data management and analysis skills.
- Relevant regulatory experience in Climate Change Trading & Regulatory Services regimes is beneficial but full training will be provided for this role.
