Compliance Officer

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
**Duties**
- Performing routine risk assessments to help the firm stay compliant
- Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with SRA regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws
- Educating employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organisation
- Recording their findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified
- Reviewing marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations
- Assisting in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organisations. Dealing with SRA requests.
- Performing administrative tasks such as file reviews, closing files and keeping file data up to date.
- Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements that may impact the organisation’s operations.
- Investigate any compliance breaches or concerns, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
**Requirements**:
- A Solicitor with experience in a compliance role.
- Strong understanding of compliance management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting internal audits and preparing regulatory reports.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
- To work a minimum of 1 day in the office based in Preston.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
We are offering a competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000 pro rata.
