We are looking to appoint an inspirational Head of Department to lead a talented and high-performing English department.

The person would be responsible for outcomes across all three key stages and for ensuring the high-quality implementation of our exceptional English curriculum. The successful applicant would work closely with the Key Stage Co-ordinators in the department, as well as the SLT link in order to continue striving to make the department the best it can be.

Essential skills required for this role would include:

- Have strong leadership qualities, with the ability to lead and motivate a team;
- Be strategic in making decisions which drive progress across all 3 key stages;
- Be able to analyse data and use this to accelerate progress;
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner;
- Be adaptable, and able to respond to emerging needs and priorities;
- Have excellent communication with staff, parents and pupils.
