My client are currently going through a full digital transformation, developing technology to transform animal care. Their transformation programme is shaping, building and delivering next generation holistic animal care services.

The goal is a fully personalised customer experience that integrates animal care across store, multi-channel and vets to deliver seamless service and create new ways to support animals and their owners to live happier lives together. The Senior Software Developer will be joining a talented team and from day one get to work on all greenfield work.

**What You Will Be Doing - Senior Software Developer**
- Mainly Back End Development -.Net Core / Azure - Design and develop solutions
- Some of the tech you might touch is the likes of BigQuery, Spanner, Snowflake, Redshift, RabbitMQ, Kafka, PubSub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, React
- Other technology used will be Cosmos DB, GIT, Unit Tests (XUnit/Fluent Assertions), Application Insights, Sonar Cloud, Azure DevOps, Typescript, CSS/SCSS/SASS, HTML
- Service Design and Development - Design and develop Service solutions
- Designs and develops services and API solutions to business problems
- Produces and maintains appropriate levels of documentation for the software being built
- Develops and maintains appropriate unit and integration testing suites using techniques such as TDD during the development lifecyle
- Works with product ownership team to help define and prioritise features for the product backlog
- Software Development Lifecycle - plays a role in the agile software development lifecycle
- Actively participates in all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle
- Agile Backlog Refinement and estimation (e.g. Planning Poker, Three Amigos)
- Sprint Planning
- Software Development and Daily Standups
- Sprint Showcases / Demos
- Retrospectives

**The Skills Needed - Senior Software Developer**
- Experience of developing using C#
- A good understanding of Service oriented design and software Development and the ecosystem and technologies in use
- Knowledge of Software / Process / Project lifecycles with an understanding of Agile working practices
- Some knowledge of frameworks, patterns and practices used to develop software and experience of using C# as a development language of choice
- Customer-oriented approach and outcome focused
- Experience of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desired
- Experience of cloud native software implementations
