**About the role**:
The purpose of the role is to survey UCL's Hebrew and Jewish rare print and archive collections and to undertake cataloguing projects to open them up for research, teaching and public access. The collections are in a range of languages with a significant proportion in Hebrew. The postholder will initially produce bibliographic records to DCRM standards for the printed material. Then, with additional training as required, the postholder will catalogue archives in line with international standard (ISAD(G)).

**An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role.**

**This is a fixed-term role until 1 March 2028.**

This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working. Occasional remote working may be available as opportunities arise.
- This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role._

**About you**:

- A recognised qualification in librarianship and/or information science, or equivalent experience
- Experience of cataloguing rare material to current recognised standards on a modern Library Management System
- Proficient reading knowledge of Hebrew

Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
