Senior Document Controller

Ridgeway & Co are seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join a dynamic team at a leading main contractor operating across high-profile construction projects in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven and organised professional to play a critical role in ensuring efficient document management across complex, multi-phase builds.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage project documentation from design through to completion, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards and client requirements
- Oversee the document control process, including version control, approvals, issue, and distribution of drawings and documents
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to support smooth project delivery
- Maintain and update electronic document management systems (EDMS), such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, or similar
- Ensure data security and access controls are adhered to across all project documents
- Train and support junior document controllers where applicable
- Produce regular reports on document status, outstanding actions, and compliance

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in document control on large construction projects, ideally within a main contracting environment
- Proficient in using leading EDMS platforms (Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, etc.)
- Strong understanding of document control protocols and project lifecycle requirements
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple projects
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
