**Senior **Document Controller**

Populous is an award-winning, international design practice specialising in sport and entertainment venues that draw people and communities together for unforgettable experiences.
- We are looking to hire a Senior Document Controller for our London studio. The senior DC will be responsible for overseeing the Document Control team managing their onboarding, training requirements and overall personnel management.Key Responsibilities:

- **Strategic Planning**: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategies, policies, and procedures for document control.
- **Drive process improvements** and technology adoption to enhance document management efficiency.
- **Process Development**: Design and implement standardized procedures for document control to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
- **Manage** document naming** conventions, version control protocols, and access permissions for document integrity and security.
- **Training and Mentoring**: Provide training and guidance to document control team members on processes, standards, best practices, tools, and technologies.
- **Supervise and support** Document Controllers in their daily activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- **Quality Assurance**: Review and approve document control processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- **Conduct regular audits** of document management practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- **Resource Allocation**: Assist in resource planning and allocation within the document control team to balance workload and meet deadlines.
- **Client Liaison**: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding document management processes and requirements, addressing concerns and fostering positive relationships.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with project teams to establish document control requirements and priorities for specific projects.
- **Monitor document review** and approval workflows, tracking statuses for timely completion.
- **System Management**: Manage document repositories and systems, ensuring proper categorization, storage, and accessibility for authorised users.
- Oversee project specific requirements in liaison with the Design Management and BIM teams
- **Manage and coordinate** pre-submissions workshops to ensure smooth completion of project milestones
- **Manage data transfer** on client Extranets
- **Implement process requirements** for information management for data transfer with protocols for Populous data management systems

Skills and Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in document control within the architectural or construction industry
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- In-depth knowledge of document management systems and best practices
- Ability to analyse complex workflows and develop streamlined solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience of information management to disseminate knowledge to the Document Control team
