This Investment Finance Manager is a newly created role for a medium sized charity based in the west of Essex. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you would be responsible for managing a small team of two and will ensure best practice accounting is deliveredin relation to the sizable investment portfolio.

Duties for this role will include:

- Regularly attend investment committee meetings and liaise with the Senior Investment Officer, Finance Director, CEO and provide suggestions for their consideration.
- Promote continuous improvement and review of the investment portfolio focusing on potential risks, return and volatility.
- Manage all accounting related to the investment portfolio ensuring robust internal controls are in place.
- Lead on budgeting and reforecasting activity relevant to all investment income.
- Partner with stakeholders to provide insightful analysis and reporting
- Work closely with various Fund Managers to advise and deliver regular reports on valuations.
- Ensure reporting meets all required compliance in line with charity SORP.
- Assist auditors throughout valuation checks during year-end.

This new Investment Finance Manager will join this sizable charity and have the opportunity to instantly add invaluable support and offer key advice to the senior management team. The position will be based in west Essex, at the organisations head officeand can offer two days a week working from home. Our client is keen to appoint someone with a genuine interest in the not-for-profit sector, with an alignment to this charity’s mission.
- Have demonstrable experience dealing with large and complex investment portfolios.
- Be an excellent communicator.
- Have confidence analysing data related to investments.
- Be a proven Accountant with first class technical accounting knowledge.
