**The role**

As a Physical Security Advisor, you will play a crucial role in implementing and managing security measures to protect Babcock from physical and other threats. You will work closely with various teams, including IT, HR, and Legal, to ensure that security measures align with business goals and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, advising on security policies and procedures, conducting investigations, and providing training to employees on security best practices.

Day-to-day, you’ll assist the Physical Security Manager to conduct security assessments: evaluate physical security measures and identify potential vulnerabilities, recording risk and escalating when appropriate.
- Advise on the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.
- Collaborate with IT, HR, Legal, and other stakeholders to align security measures with business objectives.
- Provide expertise and guidance on security operations, including access control, surveillance, and perimeter protection.
- Deliver training, advice and guidance to employees on security best practices, policies and procedures.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

**Essential experience of the Physical Security Advisor**
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and security audits.
- Familiarity with modern security technologies and their implementation.
- Proven ability to provide expert advice and guidance on security matters.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.

**Qualifications for the Physical Security Advisor**
- Level 5 Diploma in Security Management or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in security management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of security technologies and risk management.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills. Defence experience or background - Desirable**Security Clearance**
