**Account Manager / Customer Relationship Manager**

We are looking for personable and enthusiastic Account Managers / Business Engagement Officers, to join our growing engagement team. Reporting to the Business Engagement Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our businesses receive the best qualityservice from their investment, meeting with them on a regular basis to provide them information on projects, campaigns, members benefits and events.

This role is pure account and customer relationship management within a portfolio of existing customers.

You will encourage businesses to get involved in our clients’ activities and encourage collaboration among member businesses. You will be the face of our client, acting as a conduit between us and our members to ensure that Cardiff continually improves forits businesses and their employees.
- Job Title**:Business Engagement Officer**
- Salary: £24,000pa with a bonus of up to 4% related to performance against set KPIs
- Other Benefits: Optional BUPA healthcare, access to company shared Laguna Pool & Gym passes
- Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days per year plus all bank holidays
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - some occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Contract Type: Fixed term until November 2026

Cardiff Offices as the main workplace but with regular meetings at city centre businesses. An agile working policy is in place following the completion of a successful probation period.

**Account Manager / Customer Relationship Manager**
- Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and own relationships with an assigned portfolio of levy payers
- Ensure levy payers receive a return on their investment and aware of the opportunities that BID membership provides
- Pro-actively target historically disengaged levy payers to raise awareness and create pro-active members
- Act as a conduit for feedback and recommendations from levy payers to the management team
- Act as an advocate for the work across the city centre
- Communicate effectively with levy payers across multiple sectors and at various levels of seniority
- Maintain accurate records of relationships and ensure key points of contact are up to date
- Support levy payers with day-to-day issues wherever possible, within the scope of the business plan.
- When required, liaise with third party organisations (e.g., the council, charities, and training providers) to implement positive changes for levy payers and the city centre.
- Represent as appropriate at external events which may include networking events, conferences, multi-stakeholder meetings and any other relevant formats
- Assist in specific project delivery as tasked by the Head of Projects & Engagement or the Executive Director
- Be well informed on key industry issues relevant to business portfolio
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required

- Key Skills:

- Previous experience of account management and/or customer service management
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Clear and confident communication skills including experience making presentations
- Computer literate with good MS Office skills and ideally experience of a web-based database
- Ability to work under your own initiative
- Pro-active approach to problem solving
- Socially confident, personable, and approachable

Desirable
- Ability to communicate in Welsh
