We're looking for a forward thinking, motivated person to join our team on a part or full time basis.

Butcher - Key Responsibilities:
We want a hard-working all rounder capable of contributing to all areas of the team.

In particular, we are looking for a person capable of:

- Understanding and managing ordering of meat and stock control, liaising directly with local suppliers.
- Working as a counter front butcher with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative ideas for new product development and utilising trim and offcuts
- Receiving deliveries of meat and inspecting them to ensure that they adhere to the highest quality standards and are not expired.
- All other duties and requirements involved in the operation of a butchery unit, including assisting with stock intake, control and rotation, managing yield, waste and trim
- Breakdown of carcasses (lamb, beef, pig, poultry) to display in our shop counters and package cuts prepared for online customer ordering
- Managing and filing all relevant paperwork necessary for food safety
- Advanced knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts

Butcher - Desired Skills and Qualities:

- Butchery and meat industry experience
- Experience making sausages and value added products, developing new recipes
- Boning and trimming of pork for sausage meat
- Preparation of fresh sausages (including mixing, filling and tying)
- Strong organisational, communication, task management, and team work skills
- Innovative, forward-thinking and adaptable: we are a young growing business where new ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
