Working as part of EQ’s Web Operations team you will be responsible for all aspects of front-end web development from helping to establish, shape and design our customers online service requirements into innovative, creative, market leading web solutionsthrough to supporting positive user experience in the delivery of responsive and accessible code using industry best practices.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work collaboratively with EQ’s service colleagues and customers to review, gather, refine and finalise online service requirements into clear, simple and achievable statements of work**.**
- Taking ownership and executing all visual design phases of an online project, from initial concept idea through to the implementation of site build and communicating design ideas using site maps, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Building innovative, on-brand online products and services.
- Support the design, delivery & testing of new features, products & tools across EQ’s existing online estate.
- Being responsible for the day to day management and maintenance of all EQ’s existing web sites and online services.
- Monitoring performance of EQ web products and services and taking ownership of the identification and deployment of performance enhancements across the online estate.
- Contribute to web design and code reviews, adhering to expected standards in user centred design principles, whilst using software solutions to uphold responsive and accessible code that is supported across multi browser and devices.
- Ongoing evaluation of new front-end technologies, suggesting improvements and implementing enhancements to EQ’s existing online product and service offerings.
- Using data analytics and customer feedback to better define and enhance the online services we provide to our customers.
- Be recognised as an expert in the disciplines of UI / UX design and front-end web development, actively providing consultation, guidance and support in best practices, principles and industry standards that need to be followed when supporting customers onlineservice requirements.

**Key skills**:

- Expert and up to date understanding of interaction, accessibility, usability and visual design principles and best practices.
- Proven experience in building responsive websites using HTML5 and CSS3 that work consistently across different browser and devices.
- Solid experience in completing visual design projects, creating wireframes, prototypes and visual mock-ups using design software such as Axure, Invision, Sketch etc.
- Possesses a user centred design and mobile first mind set when approaching web design and development.
- A good working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Experience with CSS pre-processors (Sass) would be advantageous.
- Experience using CMS platforms such as SharePoint, Umbraco and WordPress would be advantageous.
- Imagination, creativity, attention to detail and good communication.
- Strong grasp of SEO principles.
- Up to date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Up to date knowledge of the latest web trends, techniques and technologies.
- A good working knowledge of Google analytics and implementing and troubleshooting tags in Google Tag Manager.
- Organised, self-motivated and have a flexible attitude and a strong work ethic.

Flexible working pattern - 2/3 days a week at our Worthing office location and 2/3 days a week working remotely.
